Goals

Over the past few years I have used my kids as an excuse. I can't work out because I never have the time. I don't get ready after my shower because my kids demand my attention. My hair is always pulled back in a pony tail, my make up is never done, I don't wear anything but sweats and don't get me started on the way my hands and feet look. But this blog isn't just about the way I look.... although I definitely need ALOT of help in that department. It's about the way my house looks, the books I read and the time during the day that I need to set aside to focus on my testimony. And all of these I have neglected because I have never "had the time!" Well no more excuses... I see people juggling these things all the time and now its my turn and here are a list of what I would like to see change in my life.

1. Focus on Eating Healthier
2. Exercise EVERY day
3. Lose 50-60 lbs.
4. Read my Scriptures every day
5. Go to the Temple once a month
6. Take my kids on more outings
7. Wake up and Straighten my house Every morning
8. Read at least one book every two weeks
9. Be a better wife and mother
10. Focus on building my photography business

There are many more things that I would like to change. But these are the ten I am going to focus on.

  1. I think this blog is a great idea and you have really good goals! I'm more on the weight gaining end of things, but I could really work on every other goal you have. Except photography business. :) I'm excited to see how things go!

  2. I have two ideas that might help:

    1. I want to work out with you!!!! Lets do it! Even if we just go walk at Berg park or around the block or whatever. I'm GAME.

    2. One thing that I read about in a mom-book is: Claim at least 30 min-1 hour for yourself every day. You'll be able to focus on your goals and go farther. Even if its just feeling better about yourself.
    3. (This is a freebie) I LOVE YOU! YOU CAN DO IT!
    (is this pushy-supportive enough? :) )

  3. I love this idea for a blog Leah! If you ever need anything - someone to talk to (or vent to) or a workout partner (join us at ZUMBA!) please call me! You are awesome, and you inspire me to do better! Love ya Leah!

  5. I'm so happy for you, Leah! Making the commitment is the most important step. I agree with Reann- just a little time for YOU each day will make a whole lot of difference! I made a similar resolve about 3 years ago and life has never been the same. I have great recipes I can send if you'd like them! Also, didn't you start running? Running has changed my life- I'm an addict and it is so great for me mentally- it's "my time" each day. I'm far away so I'm not a very good workout buddy, but let me know if you'd like any of my info! (Recipes, training programs, etc.)

  6. (Oh, and that last one was from me- my parents are visiting and I didn't realize my dad was logged in on my computer. Oops!)
