The Bright Side!!

So, on the bright side, everything is going down. Which is really good and I am really excited. However, they just aren't going down as quickly as I would like. But like I said, things are still going down. And it's only been a couple of weeks. So, I am not quite ready to give up on this yet!! And I have had an incredible support system with all my friends and husband. And since our gas was turned off before I started this blog, I am hoping now that we have had our gas turned back on it will be much easier to stick to a diet now that I can cook at home. But I must say with three kids it is so HARD to find the time to exercise. We garden and do yard work together but honestly, I haven't worked out once since I started. Which is horrible, I know, because that was one of my major goals and I have failed. But I just can't seem to find the time, it's always soccer or softball or doctor appointments, etc.... any suggestions from all you out there as to how you find the time to schedule in a workout.

Pride and Prejudice

So, this is a book I have been wanting to read for a while. It's been sitting on my shelf for over 10 years now. I figured that now was a good time to pick it up. I know most of you have probably read it but if you haven't (or even if you have and just want to read it again) feel free to pick it up and we can start a small book club. In two weeks I will start a post where we can discuss the book.

Honesty

So I have mixed emotions on this weeks wiegh-in. I am really excited to see my numbers are going down but if I am being honest; it's not because I stayed true to my diet and exercise plan. I did pretty good at the beginning of the week. However, as the days past I kept cheating. I did do really good with the whole no soda, just water thing but then we went out of town on Thursday and it all went down hill from there. Honestly I was expecting an increase on every number. However, I knew this process wasn't going to be easy. So, here's to a new week!!!

Weigh In!!!

Okay, so I know that none of you are going to laugh, point at me, or call me "fatty fatty two by four". And I know that these numbers may shock a few... everytime I go to the doctor a nurse or doctor makes a comment about how well I "hold my weight". A bit annoying but also a good thing... I think? And I know I could leave this next part out and just give you updates as I succeed. However, this blog is about being honest. So here it is...

Neck:13.75 in
Left Arm: 12.5 in
Right Arm: 13
Breast: 42 in
Under Breast: 37 in
Waist: 35 in
Hips: 45 in
Butt: 43.75 in
Left Thigh: 25 in
Right Thigh: 25.5 in
Left Calf: 15.5 in
Right Calft: 15.5 in
Left Ankle: 9.25 in
Right Ankle: 9.25 in

Weight: 191.4
Body Fat: 36.9%
Water: 46.1%
Bone: 6.8
BMI: 32.7

So according to the chart, my weight should be somewhere between 110 and 150 lbs. And as of now I am in the red. But I am not going to let that discourage me... I am just going to have to work to get things back where they belong!!

Small Changes Make A HUGE Difference!!!

I have decided to make a few changes at a time. I don't want to over load myself and then end up giving up. Therefore, today is a sad day...I have decided to give up my beloved Route 44 Diet Dr. Pepper. Please, hold back your tears, this is unbearable enough as it is. So, good bye my dear sweet drink, I will miss you terribly!!!

On a brighter note I have decided to clean out the old fridge and do some shopping. So, I tossed out the left over Chinese food and replaced it with this...

Goals

Over the past few years I have used my kids as an excuse. I can't work out because I never have the time. I don't get ready after my shower because my kids demand my attention. My hair is always pulled back in a pony tail, my make up is never done, I don't wear anything but sweats and don't get me started on the way my hands and feet look. But this blog isn't just about the way I look.... although I definitely need ALOT of help in that department. It's about the way my house looks, the books I read and the time during the day that I need to set aside to focus on my testimony. And all of these I have neglected because I have never "had the time!" Well no more excuses... I see people juggling these things all the time and now its my turn and here are a list of what I would like to see change in my life.

1. Focus on Eating Healthier
2. Exercise EVERY day
3. Lose 50-60 lbs.
4. Read my Scriptures every day
5. Go to the Temple once a month
6. Take my kids on more outings
7. Wake up and Straighten my house Every morning
8. Read at least one book every two weeks
9. Be a better wife and mother
10. Focus on building my photography business

There are many more things that I would like to change. But these are the ten I am going to focus on.

Me

This is me... I am 30 (nearly 31) years old, I have three amazingly beautiful children and one insanely hot, super supportive husband. My husband and I have been married for nearly 6 years. I have added about 15 lbs of weight with every kid we have. Which leaves me at needing to lose somewhere between 50 and 60 lbs (I had a little extra to lose before the babies came along). The picture you see was taken last weekend and what you see is... if you believe it... me, all dressed up!! You can see that I have put some make-up on, my hair is pulled back in a pony tail and I am wearing a super comfy sweatshirt and this is the way I look on a good day.

Here We Go!!

Today is thursday the 14th of April.... there is nothing special about today. It's not the new year or my birthday... it is just the day I've decided to make a change.
